It’s been a while since I have written a blog but today is a new beginning, finding myself having some time and energy to gather things together and now update the website.
For those of you who haven’t caught up with me in the last little while, I had been in a very challenging place health wise going which had limited me in strength and capacity in every way but I recently have had a total hip replacement relieving me of some of the pain and immobility, we have sold our home in Hamilton and moved to Canterbury and currently have an offer due to go unconditional on a new home.
Ministry wise, because of the health issues, things took a backward step holding monthly gatherings which finished at the end of last year because I knew there was a change of season happening with a potential relocation. The blogs took a backward step on the website with more of what God was showing at the time released on the Facebook page. Many questions have been before the Lord and step by step we keep moving forward into the answers.
Recently I was sharing with some friends about how there is a deconstructing taking place it seems but only to reconstruct in a different way and it seems in a different place. A tearing down, only to build up again. I see this across the board, not just in our own situation but in the ‘church’ as a whole. God is at work, shifting and changing many things, the way we worship, the way we share our faith, the way we live out Christs life in and through us. Shifts perhaps in location are taking place like our own, new friendships and situations all around.
Oftentimes we can get caught up in the deconstructing, and the mess that seems to be involved in this process of transition, like the Israelites when they had come out of slavery in Egypt and found themselves in the desert unsure of the next step but having to trust the Lord as He led and provided for their every need.
First there has to be a deconstructing and then a time in the ‘in-between’ before a something is built and established again. But once the established has happened oftentimes it is better than it was prior.
God is encouraging His people always to move into a better place and that will require a letting go of something in order to take a hold of the new.
It has been a process for Jim and I as we have journeyed letting go of the Church we were running, working through the health issues and the many questions we had and now moving into a new land, hopefully stronger in many ways than before having learnt some lessons along the way, having looked for the gold in the process of the sifting. We are still unsure of what the Lord has for us here now based in Canterbury and we are still asking many questions. Ask and you shall find and step by step God reveals our days. We may not know the overall picture or the 5 years plan, but we know the one who leads us and we put our trust in Him.
We do believe that itinerant ministry and missions is still very much a part of it because it is what the Lord has put in us and that is which we cannot let go of. Teaching, training and equipping, is still very much the core of who we are even if it will look different in this season. There has been more a move to ‘online’ teaching which looks a little like this:
Wednesdays @ 11 are a weekly ‘live online’ broadcast that I am doing along with Kelly and Jim and other guests and we invite you to come sometime and join us as we share whatever the Lord is releasing us to bring at the time. Namely discussing various topics from the word, sharing testimony and encouragements. You can watch this each week on the Glory Release Ministries Facebook page or the gloryrelease Youtube page.
I have also picked up the hat of ‘assistant director’ for Vision TV Revival Network which is another ‘live online’ broadcast every two weeks bringing together pastors and leaders around NZ sharing their heart and ministry and what they are seeing for NZ, praying and prophesying over our nation.
So, although different than previously brought through pastoring a church, I am still preaching and teaching online. We are still very much available for those who would like to invite us to share in their churches/gatherings and recently I spoke at the Aglow in Hamilton prior to our moving down here so we ask you to please reach out if you would like us to come and share. We do carry a prophetic healing ministry to the nations :)
On a prophetic note; I believe we are entering an exciting season of supernatural, I don’t know what that is going to look like but I do trust what the Lord has been showing us and so we continue to walk by faith into the future and encourage you to do the same with what the Lord has been showing you. It has been a wearying past season but as the word season, for those who do not give up, we will reap a harvest.
