Listening to someone sharing this morning talking about the winds of crisis and putting blame at the governments feet. I remember years ago the Lord showed me about the winds of crisis coming and He said do what the animals do and do the same. And in the dream the animals were running for the base of the mountain for protection. We too need to run to the Lord, who is our rock and shelter and hide in His protection as that is where we are safe, but also where He provides. We can blame govt or we can blame others for what happens in life, but I believe the Lord is wanting the ‘blame game’ to stop.
As I was listening to this person blaming, the Lord reminded me of a blog I wrote a while ago when I asked the Lord about our world, He said to me ‘Our words create our world’ and so laying blame and responsibility at a single government or people, I believe is not right either as we all need to take responsibility for the world we live in by the words we speak. Are we speaking life or death into situations, into people, into future?
A scripture that speaks to me a lot comes from Isaiah 58:9
“If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing of finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun sorched land and will strengthen your frame.”
If we as a people did away with the pointing of finger and malicious talk, and especially as Christians, imagine what the world would look like. I believe we need to repent from looking at others continually, blaming others for what has happened, forgive and start moving forward into the being the solution rather than continuing to focus on the problem.
