There have been many things that the Lord has put in each of us. Many seeds, many jewels that through the years the Lord has sown into our lives. Words, teachings, impartations, knowledge, teachings, prophetic words or pictures, sermons, that have all been sown into our lives over various times and situations. And many seeds have sat dormant like all seeds do, in the ground until the rain comes and when the rain comes it waters the ground, watering the seeds that have been sown, making them start to grow and take root and eventually bear fruit or flower depending on what type of seed was sown.
“Isaiah 55:10
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
And do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,
So that it yields seed for the Sower and bread for the eater,
So is my word that goes out from my mouth.
It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire
And achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
This morning I had a dream where I saw such destruction and debris around because there had been a flood that had wiped a lot of stuff out and it was quite concerning as people needed help. But in the process I saw a church leader and others from his church, that were safe and okay and able to help others, because they had prepared for this.
God has been saying for a long time to prepare and we as church leaders have been trying to teach the people we have had, on how to be prepared, to learn to stand through the storms that come with Jesus as our firm foundation. Teaching the things that make us secure through the trial. To discern what is of God and what is not of God.
And so, when I was processing what I saw this morning and the rain that had caused a flood, I felt like the Lord was saying the rain is a good thing. The flood is a good thing, not because of the flood or the debris, or the help that people needed, but because those things that have been taught through the years, are now going to take root, are now not going to be dormant any longer as the rain will water the seed. That we are prepared, that we have all we need for the next season the Lord has us walking into.
That without the rain, the seeds would remain dormant but with the rain, new life will come.
So whatever trial you may be facing, or have been walking through, whatever challenge that comes your way, God has already given you the seeds within you to be able to walk what is in your day and to be an overcomer in it. Choose to believe, although you may not feel you have it in you, God has already given you what you need to walk in your today. The choice we have as individuals is to believe that He has already given us everything we need.
2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”
We have a choice every day to choose life or death, moment by moment at times, to choose faith over fear, to choose to hope instead of despair, to choose forgiveness instead of unforgiveness etc. and so I encourage you to choose those things that lead to life, and life abundantly.
There is ‘seed’ within you that you don’t know about until the trial comes and when the trials come, God has already given you everything you need to be able to overcome whatever situation you may be facing. Take hold of the truth, take hold of faith, take hold of hope for God has never left you, He is with you, in everything you are walking through today. There is the ‘power of the gospel’, to see the unseen – seen, the impossible – made possible. I encourage you today to choose faith and allow God to come through in your situation.
